Collection: Professional + Experienced Governess/Nanny Needed For International Jetset Family

This dynamic and internal family is seeking a professional and experienced Governess/Nanny to join them as they grow their family. 

 

 

  • Location: Hillsborough, CA 
  • Ages of children: 7 years old 
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit. 
  • Schedule:  A rotational schedule of 1 week on and 1 week off while in the USA, and up to 1 month and one month off when traveling internationally. 
  • Compensation: The family is offering $45-$50 per hour, commensurate with experience and background. 
  • Benefits: The family is providing a health insurance stipend, including dental and vision, along with paid personal time off, and paid holidays. 
  • Live-in/Live-out: This is a live-out position. The family is looking for a local candidate who lives within a reasonable commute to their home. 
  • Other: The family is expecting their second child in June 2025, but you will not be responsible for the newborn. Once their NCS leaves, they will hire another team of Governess/Nanny for the second child. The family travels between their multiple residences throughout the year. You should be able and willing to temporarily live in the following locations: New York, London, Paris, Saint Tropez, Monaco, Cyprus, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc.

  • This busy and hardworking family in Hillsborough, CA is seeking an extraordinary and outstanding Governess/Nanny to serve as a guide and pillar in their first born education, and day to day life. This unique position is for a candidate with ample childcare experience, a self starter, who is confident in a sole charge role. The candidate will be responsible to create a nurturing and intellectually stimulating environment, fostering the child's neurological, intellectual, emotional, psychological, language and social development. 
  • This family travels frequently, domestically and internationally to their other homes. So, the candidate should be able to swiftly transition their work from one location to the next, while providing consistency and continuity of care and education for the child.
  • This unique and dynamic family has a full staff that helps support them. You should expect to work in a team environment, alongside other Nannies, Housekeepers, Personal Assistants, Butlers, Private Chefs, Pilots, Captains, etc., on all locations. So, someone with experience working in fully staffed homes would fit perfectly into this family setting.

  • The ideal candidate for this role is very passionate about children's care and education, ready to be constantly evolving within the role, and growing with the child. Someone who is energetic, full of life, and excited to engage in different physical activities with a lively boy. Someone who is passionate about supporting the academic growth of the child, nurture the child's creativity, encourage the child's curiosity, and promote the child's independence. 
  • The family seeks a candidate with a strong educational background, preferably with a degree in education, psychology, and/or any child care related fields, prior experience working as an educator, governess, tutor, or teacher. 
  • A candidate with a great personality, a calm demeanor and interpersonal skills, who also appreciates the role of nurturer, educator and mentor, while having a firm presence, capable of setting boundaries and maintaining discipline while remaining respectful. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • This is a sole charge role. The key responsibilities include creating a structured environment for child, providing the child with very engaging and hands-on learning experiences, cultivating a positive and respectful learning environment for the child, and fostering a fun and engaging childcare approach that meets the child’s specific needs. 
  • This role involves waking the child up, get him ready for school and activities, daily pick up and drop off, homework assistance, signing the child up for extra curricular activities, be in in charge of doctors appointments, haircuts, outings, travel plans and logistics, ect.
    There is regular communication with the parents’ assistants, providing updates,  collaborating and organizing travel plans, etc. 

 

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of childcare experience 
  • Experience with similar age groups. 
  • Experience working in UHNW and fully staffed households. 
  • Experience traveling with families for short and extended periods of time.
  • Experience working ROTA schedules or similar. 
  • Willingness to sign a NDA and other Legal Agreements. 
  • Ability to pass extensive background checks and drug screenings.
  • Eligibility to legally work in the U.S.A.
