Proactive + Professional ROTA Nanny Needed for San Francisco Family

This warm and fun-loving SF-based family is seeking an organized and professional rotational nanny to join their childcare team of.

  • Location: San Francisco, CA
  • Ages of children: 9 and 5 years old 
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit.
  • Schedule:  Rotational schedule of one week on follow by one week off. Candidates can expect to work between the hours of 7:30 AM and 7:30 PM. Flexibility for evenings, travel, and occasional overnight shifts during the rotation will be key for the right candidate.
  • Compensation: The family is offering an hourly and overtime rate equivalent to a per annum base compensation of $140-160k per year dependent on candidate experience. 
  • Benefits: The family providing health, vision, and dental insurance, fully covered and available immediately, along with 2 weeks of paid time off, paid holidays,  matching 401K contributions available after six months of employment, an annual discretionary bonus, a vehicle for professional use, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
  • Live-in/Live-out: The family prefers a candidate who can live-in while on rotation, and live-out during their off weeks.
  • Other: The family will consider out-of-state candidates who are looking to fly in and out, but priorities will be giving to local candidates and candidates who are willing to relocate for the position. 

Household dynamic:

  • This warm and fun-loving SF-based family is excited to welcome an organized  ROTA nannies to join their family team. The family has two bright and eager-to-learn children, a 5-year-old girl and a 9-year-old boy who fill their home with joy and laughter daily. All children attend school during the day. During this time, the nanny will pivot to assisting the family with general household tasks, as well as child-related errands. The family looks forward to meeting someone who can actively engage with the children through educational and playful activities while maintaining mindful boundaries.
  • Dad works in a separate office outside of the home, while Mom works in their  home office. The family enjoys traveling multiple times a year, and expect the nanny on rotation to come with them. The family fosters an organized and collaborative atmosphere in their home and among their household staff. Other household staff members include a house manager, a housekeeping team, a childcare team, private chefs, and a handyman. 


Ideal Candidate

  • This position is ideal for an educationally-minded career nanny with experience working in fully-staffed homes. The family seeks a candidate passionate about engaging young minds and creating hands-on, interactive learning experiences to foster the children’s growth and development. The family looks forward to working with someone who is perceptive, can read the room, and knows when to step in and step back when appropriate. A candidate who is well-versed in caring for multiple children in a role and who has strong organizational instincts will seamlessly integrate into the family’s dynamic to support the children and the household.
  • Responsibilities include both childcare and some family assisting tasks. Childcare-related tasks include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing children’s areas, occasional errands, before and after school routines, coordinating activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. Family assisting duties include running errands, light meal planning and preparation, and grocery shopping.
  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with an education background and experience working in a fully-staffed home.


Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of professional childcare experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with school-age children.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher. 
  • A Valid Driver’s License.
  • A Valid Passport.
  • Fully vaccinated and updated on boosters against COVID-19. 
  • Must be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to the family.
  • Eligibility to legally work in the US.
