Collection: Flexible + Adaptable Nanny Needed For Los Angeles Bicoastal Family

This generous and down-to-earth family is seeking a flexible and collaborative Nanny to join them in caring for their infant and toddler. 

  • Location: Los Angeles, CA and Houston, Texas
  • Ages of children: 2 years old and 3 months old 
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit.
  • Schedule:  A full-time schedule guaranteeing 40 hours per week. Although candidate can expect significant down time during the working hours. Flexibility and willingness to adjust the schedule to accommodate the family's needs on occasion will be greatly appreciated.
  • Compensation: The family is offering an hourly rate of $60-$80 and is comfortable to offer the compensation of $125-160k per annum commensurate with candidate experience. 
  • Benefits: The family is providing a health insurance stipend, dental, vision, along with 2 weeks of paid vacation, paid personal time off and paid holidays.
  • Live-in/Live-out: This position is live-out, but on site. The family will provide  separate accommodations such as a pool house, a cottage, an apartment, or a nearby hotel or Airbnb for the candidate on all locations and while traveling.
  • Other: A candidate who is comfortable working alongside hand-on parents and grandparents would be a good fit for this family.

  • This respectful and welcoming bicoastal family is excited to welcome a new nanny to join their family team. The family splits their time evenly between Los Angeles, CA and Houston, TX, with frequent travel while staying at each of those locations, as well as extensive and lengthy travels during the summer months. The family is sad to part ways with their long term nanny, who is been with them since their first born arrive, due to health complications. But they are looking forward to finding a new nanny who is happy to join their family for years  to come. 
  • The family as team in place to assist them in different areas of their lives. While the position is child centered, the family appreciates candidates who have a « all hands on deck and no task to small mentality ».  The family enjoys family time, with the grandparents around often. So, they would appreciate a candidate who instinctively knows when to step back and allow them family time, while redirecting their times into something productive.

  • This position is ideal for a career nanny with experience working with the infant and toddler age groups. The family seeks a candidate who is patient, discreet, reliable, flexible and passionate about childcare. A candidate who has experienced with the Montessori method, RIE, and a child-led ,gentle and respectful approach to childcare. A candidate who is excited to engage the children in interactive and play-based learning activities, and dedicated to fostering their children’s growth and development.
  • The family looks forward to working with someone who is a talented teacher, with an animated and bubbly personality, and enjoys creating a fun time for the children away from screentime. A candidate who is well-versed in collaborating with hands-on parents and grandparents in a role, who has strong organizational skills, good time management, and able to keep up with their outgoing and energetic toddler and growing infant.


Responsibilities:

  • The responsibilities for this role includes caring for everything pertaining to their infant and toddler, such as feeding, bathing, dressing, changing diapers, washing and sterilizing bottles, children's meals, children's laundry, organizing the children's areas, creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, tidying, following routines, coordinating activities, outings, imaginative plays, including but not limited to all other child-related tasks.
  • The candidate will be required to travel and live where ever the family is living at any given time, packing, unpacking, help the family and children settle at all locations. While this is not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a candidate with fluency in Spanish. 

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of professional childcare experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with infant and toddler's developmental milestones.
  • Experience in shared charge roles and fully staffed homes.
  • Experience with gentle and respectful parenting.
  • Experience working with HP and HN households.
  • The ability to lift 35 pounds or more.
  • Fully vaccinated and updated on boosters against COVID-19.
  • Eligibility to legally work in the U.S.A.
