Experienced + Loving Nanny Needed For NYC Family

This welcoming and down-to-earth NYC family is seeking an experienced and loving professional nanny to join their team.

 

  • Location: New York, NY
  • Ages of children: 4 and 2 years old 
  • Start date: As soon as they find the right fit!
  • Schedule: Full-time, guaranteeing 50 hours per week with the general schedule falling on Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  Flexibility for overnights, weekends, and frequent travel will be asked in advance and appreciated. 
  • Compensation: The family is offering an hourly rate of $40 and overtime rate equivalent to an annualized base compensation of up to $120,000 per year dependent on candidate experience. The family might be open to candidates seeking higher compensation commensurate with background and experience. 
  • Benefits: The family is open to providing health, vision, and dental insurance, along with 2 weeks of paid time off, 5 paid personal days off, paid federal holidays, and a monthly metro card. 
  • Live-in/Live-out: This position is live-out with occasional overnight.
  • Other: The family will only consider candidates within a reasonable commute to the city.

  • This calm, social family includes a sweet senior dog. They enjoy spending lots of time together during when the parents are at home. They have been working with their amazing long-term nanny, and are now looking forward to adding a new full-time nanny to their team. Both parents work long hours outside of the home. They look forward to building a new relationship with their new nanny as they continue to balance work and family time. 

  • While NYC is home, the family loves visiting their second home in The Hamptons very frequently. They travel for work and for pleasure, spending up to 2-3 months at a time outside of NYC, and will enjoy working with a nanny who is comfortable joining them on their travels. They have close family and young cousins nearby, and look forward to joining them at city parks, museums, and discovering new places together. A candidate who is excited to grow alongside this family will be a wonderful fit.

 


Ideal Candidate 

 

  • This position is ideal for someone who is adaptable, open-minded, and excited to support dual working parents and grow alongside them. The family looks forward to having a collaborative and trusting relationship with their new nanny, and someone who is eager to establish an open line of communication will flow well in this family dynamic. A love for dogs and children is an absolute must.

  • Responsibilities include creating an environment for the children to grow and thrive, child-related household tasks including but not limited to meal prep, tidying, organizing of children’s areas, and errands, coordinating outings activities, and traveling with the family throughout the year. A willingness to jump in on occasional family assisting duties will be appreciated.

  • While not a requirement for the role, the family would love to work with a nanny who is open to pitching in with occasional pet care for their dear dog. 

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of professional childcare experience.
  • Knowledge and experience with children of similar age group.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • A valid passport.
  • Fully vaccinated and updated with boosters against COVID-19.
  • Located within a commutable distance.
  • Eligibility to legally work in the United States.
